Ashland CERT’s Fall "Intensive" Basic Training Course is offered FREE to residents of Jackson County interested in being prepared. The course is also required to establish volunteerism within CERT. There are several opportunities to participate in the sought after CERT training in 2017 including two spring and two fall sessions to choose from. Session numbered one (1) are subject to cancellation and combination with sessions numbered two (2) if enrollment in low. CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE MADE SEPTEMBER 15th.

Training consists of more than 20 hours of instruction split into four evenings and two Saturdays to accommodate work schedules culminating in a final exercise. NOTE: Participants must attend and complete all training modules to complete the course.

Classes are held at Ashland Fire & Rescue Station 1 and the Ashland Public Works Building

The final exercise consists of a hands-on simulation scenario. For the final exercise please dress for all weather and wear pants and sturdy shoes or boots. Bring work gloves, eye protection, and a flashlight. Let the CERT office know if you need to borrow something for the training.
